How Often Should You Exchange?
Light users (1–2 cooks a month) can go 8–10 weeks between swaps. Grilling weekly or hosting large crowds? Plan on a exchange every 4–6 weeks. We’ll set up reminders so you never run dry mid‑cookout.

- Do I need to be home? Yes—someone should authorize the swap. If you can’t make it, leave the empty at your curb and we’ll grab it.
- What if I still smell gas afterward? Shut off the valve and call us. We’ll come out at no charge for a safety check.
- Can you refill my own tank instead of swapping? Absolutely—just ask when you book.

I used the Grill Doctor for an outdoor kitchen which included a Big Green Egg, Twin Eagles Grill, fridge, trash and recycle bins, and storage. In addition, about a week later, my wife thought she smelled a strong odor of gas near the deck. She use the "soapy water bubble" test to find the leak at the valve.
